Unique piece by the Belgian sculptor Jules Dewaele, better known as Pia Manu.
As a great collector of fossils and trilobites, Pia Manu takes a fossil tin form that he superimposes on the table top in combination with slate mosaics.
The base of the table is made of oxidated metal, Pia Manu treatened metals with an oxidation process to give the metal a unique texture and patina.

Acquired directly from the artist in 1983 by the previous owner.
