A unique and impressive 19th Century British mahogany military chest, the top lifts up to reveal a dressing station supported on brass rods, consisting of a mirror at the centre with shelves either side, the chest having a combination of two short over four long drawers with the original brass recessed handles, the central drawer pulls out to reveal a lift up writing slope with various compartments, slides either side of the writing slope that open to reveal further compartment space and a pen tray, supported on elegant turned feet. Circa 1840.
